Digital Etiquette is the awareness of being a responsible online citizen.
Digital etiquette relates to the adults who have a responsible digital behavior make a role model for students of all ages. Many students watch how others use technology and assume if others can use it in that manner, so can they. Few rules have been enforced in using new technology so many people are unsure how to use technology devices today. it is also
is a basic set of rules you should follow in order to make the internet better for others, and better for you. It’s just as important to treat people with courtesy and respect online as it is in real life. This includes hacking others computer, downloading illegally, plagiarism and using bad language on the Internet. Not a lot of schools teach students how important it is to follow these rules that everyone knows.

2. Background of the topic including specific real examples.

Describe background.

Digital etiquette needs to be used all across the World Wide Web, since bullying is already in real life, and with the addition of the Internet, the range of bullying has been widened. The cyber-bullying issue is a big problem, seeing as the victims usually listen to the bullies' threats, and follow their "instructions" to stop them from teasing them any further. Examples of digital etiquette is that people aim for famous websites such as facebook because they know that many people use them so they go on there and send applications that contain those viruses. They do this for nothing, they dont get anything back from doing this to people but there own fun. So people who dont use public websites such as facebook should be banned because people are suffering evry day getting a new virus.

3. Social / ethical aspects of the topic including how real people and communities have been positively or negatively affected and legal consequences

Teachers teach digital etiquette in school because children need to be educated how to use technology appropriately. Sometimes people take the technology that is used inappropriately away, but that is not what should be done, because the right thing would be to teach everyone how to use technology and not abuse it. People these days especially kids are affected so badly because they learn bad things about technology from someone else and that do the same thing. People have been affected by many worse things such as you send an email to a person maybe when you are angry. This could cause big problems and nig fights between people because when an email is sent its done you cant get it back. So people have went into problems because they didnt think before sending the email.

4. Possible solutions to the problems that have emerged.

This is a website http://digitaletiquetteguide.wordpress.com/ that puts posting blogs about Digital Etiquette and its purpose is to educate people about using technology. Such as computers and phones. This website would help people especially kids to learn more about how to use Technology and to put them on the correct track. Another thing is that schools should have special lessons about how to respect our technology and use it the way it should be used like. These courses should be for students in primary who are still learning new things.

Having Etiquette means that we are not rude and disrespectful, it means that we consider other people’s feelings and that we respect their points of view. Etiquette is used by everyone, but it may vary from culture to culture.
Good etiquette is shown by being polite and respectful and nice. It is used in social groups and it can be expressed by the way one talks, dresses and looks. Digital Etiquette is basically the same thing but if we are IMing or SMSing we cannot really show etiquette with the way we are dressed or something similar. We have to focus on our words and the way we type them. We cannot write rude things or if we are blogging or posting something somewhere where a lot of people can see it we cannot insult anyone’s personal believes, religion, race, nationality etc. Depending on who we are talking to we should pay attention to spelling and words we use.
